Every week I explore the local markets, refine my selection of best local producers and growers and keep in touch with new trends. With a strong preference for everything organic, I also use plant-based biodegradable packaging whenever possible. I tailor each menu based on produce seasonality and availability while offering you a service to suit your taste, that you and your guests will adore! After 20 years spent working my foods and wines in Burgundy and Provence, I started my apprenticeship at the beautiful 5* Relais et Chateaux Hôtel Restaurant Le Mas de Pierre, in Saint Paul de Vence. There, thanks to an amazing chef, I learnt modern French fine dining, first as a commis and soon after as a demi chef de partie. Soon after, fate took me to an amazing challenge and social experiment called Forum Jorges François, in Nice. As a Second de cuisine there, I led a team of 12 chefs and designed a daily Zero Waste menu for 100 people, with my executive chef. While contemplating a new career as a chef on yachts in 2016, I met my Kiwi girlfriend in Antibes and we have been enjoying New Zealand and Auckland since then. For the last 3 years, I have been fusing the exquisite flavours of Aotearoa with modern and classic French cuisine in a variety of settings. When I am not working as a chef for hire and organising customised private dinners, I am involved in cooking classes, sensory experiments, food & beverage consultancy, social kitchen events, food science workshops, culinary photography and pop-ups.

Arno catered a party of 16 in our home with help from a waitress for drinks and food service. They were both fantastic and lovely to have in our home. The food was very good. Arno was a great help selecting fresh produce from the market beforehand. We had a whole scotch fillet beef main for which he made fresh bearnaise sauce. We would happily have him back again!

Arno catered for a special birthday luncheon for us and our friends fifteen in all. The three courses were all superb and all our guests were enthusiastic about the quality and interesting flavours of the various dishes
The snapper entrée looked beautiful and there was a great mix of flavours. Guests were able to choose between tarakihi and eye fillet steak and both mains were excellent. I had the steak which was just perfect in every way!
The Louise style rhubarb tart was so delicious that we would happily eat it several times a week. And Arno did all the clearing up too! We were so impressed by his positive approach to the meal, his efficiency and flexibility, and his whole approach to food. Highly recommended!!
