I use organic ingredients every time possible to bring you the best taste and extra healthy benefits. I am passionate about Connecticut’s local markets and suppliers. I visit farms, growers, foragers and producers to find the best local ingredients possible
Each of your cooking class is customised and takes place in the comfort of your own kitchen
We cook every dish together for more fun : 2 dishes in 2 hours ($69 pp) or 3 dishes in 3 hours ($89 pp)
All ingredients are included. Minimum 4 people. Transport surcharge may apply beyond the greater New Haven area.
You guessed it: I always wanted to be a chef even before I was a little apprentice at the age of 13. But before I could become one, I used to travel and work in many countries. Most recently, I worked at chef Emmanuel Lehrer’s beautiful 5* Relais et Chateaux Hôtel Restaurant Le Mas de Pierre. Then at Forum Jorges François chef Philippe Bouchet supervised my leadership with a brigade of 10 cooks, where we designed Zero Waste menus for 100+ hungry mouths on a daily basis. In the last 3 years I worked in Auckland, New Zealand, where I developed my private chef business. In September 2019, I moved to New Haven, where my composer wife studies at Yale university. Arno catered a party of 16 in our home with help from a waitress for drinks and food service. They were both fantastic and lovely to have in our home. The food was very good. Arno was a great help selecting fresh produce from the market beforehand. We had a whole scotch fillet beef main for which he made fresh bearnaise sauce. We would happily have him back again!

Arno catered for a special birthday luncheon for us and our friends fifteen in all. The three courses were all superb and all our guests were enthusiastic about the quality and interesting flavours of the various dishes
The snapper entrée looked beautiful and there was a great mix of flavours. Guests were able to choose between tarahiki and eye fillet steak and both mains were excellent. I had the steak which was just perfect in every way!
The Louise style rhubarb tart was so delicious that we would happily eat it several times a week. And Arno did all the clearing up too! We were so impressed by his positive approach to the meal, his efficiency and flexibility, and his whole approach to food. Highly recommended!!
